NLite - a new acne treatment (but does it work?)

NLite acne treatment

was all over the news recently thanks to its appearance on ITV's programme This Morning over here in the UK. The guest Camilla Longdon had suffered from acne for 10 years, after having the NLite acne treatment her acne was cured! Brilliant huh?

According to the NLite website their treatment is a "faster response" than other treatments. Not only that but it is "proven by science" and it "works like magic". Bold claims indeed. You can read other equally bold claims here www.theprivateclinic.co.uk

So, although it was clearly a success for Camilla could this really be the final answer to clearing up your acne?

Apparently not.

Since the show was broadcast a quick scan around the acne forums reveals that other people have been inspired to try it and have had very different results.

Many, many people have claimed that the treatment actually worsened their acne. Comments have ranged from  "I had 4 treatments in London Private Clinic at £300 each.It did not work at all" to "Just coming back to you all with an update. I had my second n-lite treatment, and to my horror things got far worse then i had imagined. Two weeks before my wedding i decided not to go ahead with the third treatment, i couldn't risk being an ever so spotty bride!" source www.acne.org

So, some people are claiming that the treatment actually made their acne worse. Others have pointed out that it got a lot worse but then steadily things improved. Other still (although they seem to be in the minority) have claimed that it actually worked wonderfully well for them just like Camilla.

It seems then, that as with the majority of acne medicine it's pot luck depending on your skin type, diet and a number of other factors. At around £300 a pop, it's not a cheap decision either. The search continues for the one-for-all acne treatment.
